Terms of Service
By using Heed, you agree to these terms. We've kept them short.
What Heed is
Heed is an iOS app that uses third-party AI services to interpret short messages you paste in. It returns a reading and suggested replies.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or older and located in the United States. You confirm both at first launch.
Not professional advice
Heed is for personal use only. It is not a substitute for mental health, legal, medical, financial, or HR advice. If you're in crisis, contact 988 (US Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or a licensed professional. If you have a legal issue, talk to an attorney.
No guarantee of accuracy
Heed's output is AI-generated and may be wrong, incomplete, or misleading. It may misread tone, sarcasm, context, or culture. Use it as one input among many — not as the final word on what a message means or how to respond. The app is provided as-is, with no warranties of any kind.
Your responsibilities
- Use Heed only for personal, non-commercial purposes on messages you've received.
- Don't paste illegal content, threats, or content involving minors.
- Don't use Heed to harass, stalk, or harm anyone.
- Don't reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to bypass the app.
Subscriptions
Heed offers a free tier and paid subscriptions for additional usage. All subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. You can cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple.
Your data
How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy. By using Heed, you agree to it.
Ownership
Heed (the app, design, prompts, and brand) belongs to us. You keep ownership of the messages you paste; you give us a limited right to process them to provide the service.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost income, lost relationships, workplace outcomes, or decisions you make based on the app's output. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you've paid us in the past 12 months, or $50, whichever is greater.
Disputes
These terms are governed by California law. Any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Arbitration Rules. You waive any right to class actions. You may opt out of arbitration by emailing us within 30 days of first using Heed.
Changes
If we change these terms materially, we'll update the date above and notify you in the app. Continued use means acceptance.
